BROMPTON BIKE SUBSCRIPTION

Save between 30 - 47% on a Brompton bike subscription.

In a new partnership between Green Commute Initiative and Brompton Bike Hire, you can now pay for a Brompton bike subscription using the Cycle to Work Scheme and make significant savings.

How it works:

Your employer will pay for the bike subscription upfront and then you will repay them via a salary sacrifice arrangement. As the payments will come out of your gross salary, you will save tax and national insurance on the value of the subscription. Depending on your tax rate, you either save 30, 42 or 47%.

You can hire either a Brompton folding bike or a Brompton folding electric bike over a 12- or 18-month period. The salary sacrifice agreement will be over the same period as your chosen subscription period. If your employer's scheme is limited to a 12-month salary sacrifice period, you can only select a 12-month subscription package.

The subscription package

The package will include your chosen Brompton, excess cover, servicing and repairs. Accidental damage and theft insurance becomes active once you have received your bike.

Your Brompton will be from a refurbished fleet. The bike can be adjusted and comes equipped with an extended seat post so that it can fit someone up to 6ft 6ins (198cm).

Fast delivery to your door

Brompton typically despatches orders within a week of your order being received. The Brompton customer service team will be in touch with you to advise the delivery timescales. Brompton will arrange collection at the end of the subscription period.

Easy return or renewal

When your contract is up, Brompton will contact you with the option to return the bike or move to a rolling contact until you decide to cancel.

Service and repairs

For servicing, Brompton will contact you when it's coming up to 6 months. If you have a puncture or faulty gears before the service is due, simply contact their customer support and they'll take care of it. You will receive a courtesy bike to keep you moving.

Cycle to Work Scheme

The government backed scheme aims to promote active travel, specifically cycling, to reduce congestion on our roads and improve air quality. It does this by offering a tax break on the cost of a cycle and accessories. Please note that the majority of the use of the bike (51%) must be for commuting purposes.
